About Us
Hey y'all, I'm Jess! I'm married to my high school sweetheart and a mama to 2 little ladies. I home school our girls, I'm a total homebody at heart and we love our quiet little country life...if you follow us on Instagram you'll usually find us at home with our horses, chickens, dogs & bunny...and all of the chaos that comes along with it! The seeds for the Wear Love Always brand were actually planted several years ago, back when I was a full time working mama. Everyone always says that going back to work after your maternity leave gets easier but, for me, it never did...and it was that stirring in my heart that started it all. Around that time is when I began tuning into my creative side and opened my handmade shop...many know me from my "bow making days" when I created pretty handmade leather bows that ended up being carried in boutiques all across the country, from California to the trendy West Village in NYC. As my little business grew, something beautiful grew along with it....the most amazing community and, to this day, that community is still my favorite part of what I do.
In 2012, after a lot of prayer and waiting for the "right" time, I quit my full time job as an X-ray tech at a large Fort Worth hospital...right before our oldest daughter {Sadie} turned two. When our second daughter was born in 2016, I took a step back from the handmade shop and slowed down a bit...having a 4 year old and a new born will do that to you, right? It was then that I began to think about clothes & styling...I pulled from my years of experience in retail and not only opened my clothing boutique but also got to cross a major bucket list item off of my list when my husband brought home a vintage Airstream. He converted it into a mobile boutique and we spent the next year towing it over 3,000 miles for special events and private parties...taking our girls along for every mile of the ride.
Over the years I've really honed in on my personal style and my brand and Wear Love Always stems from Colossians 3:14 which reads "and regardless of what else you put on, wear love." That little community that began back in my bow making days has followed me (and grown) over the years and is still what I treasure most as a business owner...but what I love even more than that is my family. My biggest dream is to have a more simple & intentional life with them and, for that reason, we parked the Airstream and "retired" from the road. I ran the boutique primarily online, occasionally opening for locals to stop by and shop until 2018 when I decided to really slow down and, ultimately, sell the Airstream and close the boutique chapter all together. I had landed myself in a mess of anxiety and some accompanying (minor) health issues from years of doing too much with little to no thought about taking care of myself...until I got to the point to where I had to make some changes- literally, for my sanity & physical health- so I tapped into the years of natural health/wellness knowledge that I had under my belt and really got serious. As I worked through my physical & mental health challenges (and got amazing results), I began helping friends and family do the same...and that naturally morphed into me sharing with my community as well. Looking back (since hindsight is always 20/20, right?) it seemed so silly to me that I had never leaned into my tendencies of being natural-minded during all of my years as a business owner...but I can also see how every job, experience (and health issue!) shaped me into who I am today and then when I tapped into what are TRULY the most pure and potent oils that exist, I couldn't not share. By then it had become such a big part of our daily life and when you reap the benefits of building a solid foundation of health & wellness and experience the empowerment that comes with taking ownership of that area of your life, you naturally want to help others do the same. If you want all the details of my 8+ years of using essential oils and natural products, how I got to where I am today, and why I never shared oils with anyone before doterra, you can read that HERE.
I'm so grateful for the friends I've made over the years and the community we've built together! Truly, it's been such a blessing.
Thanks for stopping by!
